Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out, we have a range of fun diving experiences for beginners to see if you like it.

For experienced scuba divers you can choose from a wide range of PADI scuba certification courses from PADI Open Water Diver to Divemaster and Specialities.

Learn to sail with our sailing and RYA Shore Based training courses. If living on board, cruising the coast or sailing offshore appeals to you, why not give sail cruising a go?

Whether you are a first-timer wanting to be a useful crew member, or a more experienced skipper wanting to expand your skills, there is an RYA Shore Based sailing course for you.

Our RYA powerboat courses are for those wanting to drive small open powerboats such as RIBs (rigid inflatable boats) sports boats and small launches.

Whether you use powerboats for leisure or work, or in connection with another activity such as sailing or rescue, we have a course suitable for you.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT THE GLACIERE MARITIME ACADEMY

Welcome to The Glaciere Maritime Academy, the first of its kind in the UK, which will teach students everything from leisure diving to sailing to commercial water qualifications needed for jobs working at sea and on ports.

Courses on offer include everything from PADI diving qualifications, RYA sailing courses to RYA power boat courses, first aid at sea, sea survival and the STCW95 course, the commercial qualification needed to work on offshore wind farms. We have courses suitable for both children and adults, and cater for those who are new and want a beginner level course to those who are experienced looking for advanced or professional courses.

Our purpose built 5 star training facility is based at the Oakmere site in Walton, Liverpool (in close proximity to Liverpool city centre) and houses classrooms, meeting rooms, a heated dive pool, changing facilities, a retail outlet including air refills and free on-site parking. Work has started on our new £250,000 maritime academy for Collingwood Dock. Watch this space!
